Sony has sold 4.2 million PlayStation 4 during the last two months

Sony has sold 4.2 million units of the PlayStation 4 by the end of 2013, Sony Computer Entertainment president Andrew House announced during the company's press conference at CES 2014.

During the press conference Sony also unveiled plans to offer games on the PS4 and other devices through service new Sony Playstation.

This number eclipses the number of sales of the Xbox console from Microsoft One. Microsoft announced on Monday morning that the company has only sold 3 million units of Xbox One.

Sony has announced that PlayStation will now offer a way to play PS1 games, PS2 and PS3 on the PlayStation 4, PS Vita, PS3, Sony televisions, tablet and mobile intelligent.

A limited beta service is supposed to start at the end of this month. PlayStation 4 costs 399 dollars, 499 dollars while Xbox One.
