Toyota plans next week to expose the system for autonomous vehicles



Although several companies , including Google , are moving ahead with vehicles fully or partially self - drivers , car manufacturers have some concerns , which , of course , include road safety . Responding to the need for safe cars and new technology , Toyota has developed a system that brings the dream of automated machines to respond to problems sotme.Në CES earlier this year , Toyota vehicle exposed Advanced Active Safety Research , a car based on the Lexus LS equipped with sensors and cameras with the latest technology , which are able to detect vehicles , pedestrians and obstacles on the road . While the car is autonomous , the ultimate goal of the research is to assist drivers in choosing safer roads and eventually reduce the amount of accidents .
For this purpose , Toyota has developed the Automated Highway Driving Assist ( AHDA ) , based on two - driver technology itself . Toyota plans to showcase its technology AHDA in the near future . The company will test the system starting from 15 October to Shuto Highway , near Tokyo metropolitan area and will deploy its system AHDA in an exhibition at the World Congress of Intelligent Transport Systems in Tokyo next week.
